A clear guide to mining with MINU and earning SOL.

MINU lets you place MINU tokens into a mine and earn a share of SOL funded by creator fees. Choose a lock duration, open a position with your wallet, and follow its rewards as they accrue and unlock.

**Three mines. One shared reserve.** Bronze, Silver and Gold differ in their lock periods and reward weights. They all draw from the same available SOL reserve.

## Start here

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Your first position</strong></td><td>Connect a wallet, choose a mine and approve a deposit.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Choose your depth</strong></td><td>Compare the 4h, 8h and 16h locks and their multipliers.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Understand your rewards</strong></td><td>See how the shared reserve, active weight and unlocking work.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Follow the funding</strong></td><td>Learn how creator fees become available mining rewards.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

## What you can do

* Open multiple mining positions with different amounts and durations.
* Earn a weighted share of ongoing reward releases while each position remains active.
* Claim unlocked SOL without withdrawing your MINU.
* Withdraw the entire MINU deposit after its minimum lock has expired.

Mining is the product’s theme for depositing MINU into its Solana program. No mining hardware or proof-of-work is involved. You do not receive a guaranteed daily return: rewards depend on available SOL, incoming fees and participation.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Current network:** MINU operates on Solana devnet. Its devnet tokens and SOL have no mainnet monetary value. Mainnet deposits are not open.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.minerinu.app/welcome-to-minu.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
