# Creator fees and reward funding

Follow creator fees into the shared reserve and understand collection timing.

SOL creator fees routed to MINU provide its mining reward funding. **100% of those routed creator fees goes toward rewards.** This refers to the creator’s fee allocation, not every fee charged by a trading platform.

## The funding journey

1. Eligible trading activity generates creator fees through the configured fee source.
2. The collector checks for available fees and submits a collection transaction.
3. A confirmed collection brings SOL into the shared reward vault.
4. Reward synchronization accounts for that funding and makes it contribute to future releases.
5. All active positions share those releases according to their reward weights.

## The collector checks every minute

The collector runs a scheduled check every minute. It records pending transactions and checks their confirmation before retrying, reducing the risk of treating one transaction as two separate collections.

A one-minute schedule does not guarantee that a payment arrives every minute. There may be no new fees to collect. RPC availability, network confirmation and sufficient operator SOL for transaction fees also affect collection.

## Fresh fees benefit positions that are already open

New funding contributes to future distributions after synchronization. You do not need to withdraw and reopen a position to participate.

Fees are not retroactively assigned to time before they arrived. Earlier rewards remain unchanged. A new miner can earn from the available reserve after joining, but cannot take another position’s already-earned SOL.

## Funding and payouts are different transactions

The collector collects creator fees and synchronizes reward accounting. It does **not** claim a user’s rewards or withdraw their MINU. Those actions require the position owner’s wallet approval.

The reserve can continue distributing existing available funding during a collection delay. Without replenishment, its percentage-based releases become smaller.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.minerinu.app/creator-fees.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
